Real-time, high precision, compact and robust gas analyzers for the measurement of nitrogen oxides, HONO and potentially other air pollutants such as SO2, O3, HCHO, with extreme high sensitivity.

 

Cavity-Enhanced Differential Optical Absorption Spectroscopy (CE-DOAS) is the perfect technology for measuring in situ atmospheric trace gases. The ICAD (Iterative CAvity enhanced Doas) NO2/NOx/NO measurement system uses direct optical absorption spectroscopy in the spectral range between 430 to 465 nm. By measuring the absorption spectrum and applying the ICAD algorithm, the unique and characteristic absorption structure of NO2 is directly identified and separated from other overlapping absorptions like water vapour (H2O) or Glyoxal (C2H2O2). As the ICAD system relies not on absolute intensities, but rather characteristic differential absorption structures, it has no absolute zero-point drift and is insensitive to temperature variations, vibrations and light source degradation like other optical instruments. It is thus the perfect tool for accurate and precise long-term measurements, but also for mobile applications requiring a wide measurement range, high precision and fast response times. The operation is simple as no consumable and calibration gases are required (pre-drying of sample air is also not required).

Airyx open path active remote sensing system

The Airyx open-path remote sensing instrument allows to monitor a wide range of atmospheric trace gases (NO2, SO2, O3, HCHO, HONO, H2O, BrO, OClO) based on the method of Differential Optical Absorption Spectroscopy (DOAS). Light emitted by high power LEDs covering the UV/vis range from 280 to 380 nm are coupled into a telescope and sent through the atmosphere along light paths of lengths between several hundreds of meters up to several kilometers. Optionally, a high-power broadband light source (LDLS) is available extending the spectral range and the maximum measurement path length. The instrument measures the average concentration along the path with high precision (sub ppb range, depending on path length) and high time resolution (few seconds, depending on visibility).

Airyx Skyspec passive remote sensing systems

The Skyspec passive remote sensing instruments record UV and visible spectra of direct sunlight and scattered skylight, for the remote detection of atmospheric trace gases (NO2, SO2, O3, HCHO, HONO, H2O) and aerosols. The motorized telescope unit with elevation correction enables automatic data acquisition at custom viewing angles. The temperature stabilized spectrometer with sub-nm resolution is optimised for accurate detection of trace gas absorption.
